WexSci, the Wexford regional Science Week festival is offering a programme of events for all ages and interests, taking place across County Wexford.  It is part of national Science Week and the theme this year is “Human”. Events explore what it means to be human and will include the science of extreme sports, AI, wearable technologies and the future of our planet, DNA – the molecule of life, and more with a Science Book Club running in libraries across Wexford all month.

This year, the festival will work with many community groups across the county, bringing Science to new places and new audiences. Events for adults will focus on hot topics in science, and our partners Wexford Science Café will debate and discuss current issues facing our world! After-school events will bring science out of the classroom and into new and exciting spaces such as the National Opera House.

The WexSci family day will take place in libraries across the county on Saturday November 18th, with a spectacle of exciting science shows for families. Full details can be found at www.wexsci.ie

Calmast, the South East Technological University’s STEM engagement centre coordinates the festival alongside Wexford County Council Library Service and Community Development Department in partnership with South East Technological University Wexford campus, the Environmental Protection Agency, Wexford Local Development Agency, National opera House, Wexford Science Café and local industry.
