‘The Bigger Picture’ is a project that will explore how people perceive images of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Through workshops, artist collaborations, and exhibitions, ‘The Bigger Picture’ will explore how AI is currently represented in images, and consider how to truly reflect this technology visually.

‘The Bigger Picture’ aims to improve public understanding of AI by involving people in the process of making images of AI, from deciding what is important about this technology in our everyday lives, to explaining how AI works. Workshops in Cork and Dublin will bring together a diverse group of participants to creatively explore and express their perceptions of AI. Following these sessions, an open call for artists and image-makers will be launched to commission new, more representative images of AI.

You too can be part of ‘The Bigger Picture’ in Cork and Dublin during Science Week as exhibitions of these freshly commissioned images, will offer a unique opportunity to engage with new and thought-provoking interpretations of AI.
