Science of Space Festival
Join in exploration of space across all aspects of STEAM during Space Fest! Festival programming for adults, teens and families merges science and the arts through creative, captivating events designed to spark imagination and open the cosmos in new ways.
Join in on a workshop explaining the physics of flight through acrobatics; learn about the Science of Science Fiction in an audience with Star Trek author Diane Duane; or learn to measure and make clouds with the NASA GOAL programme.
The festival will culminate in a three-day exhibition at the National Space Centre featuring international artists-in-residence Emilia Tapprest and Valerie van Zuijlen alongside creations from the 100+ local young people taking part in our STEAM education programme led by Greywood Arts, an East Cork arts organisation.
All in-person events take place at the National Space Centre outside Midleton, Co Cork. Tours are available, beginning with the NSC’s iconic 32-metre dish and including the campus and satellite groundstations.
