The Dublin Book Festival is one of Ireland’s most successful and vibrant book festivals, celebrating the best of Ireland's homegrown literary talent across five days each November. Showcasing Ireland's established and emerging writers, illustrators and publishers in a festive and welcoming environment, the programme covers everything from fiction, non-fiction and poetry, to science, history, nature, comedy, family-friendly events and a full schools' programme. With a main festival hub at The Printworks, Dublin Castle, where you can attend drop-in events, browse the bookshop and meet some of your favourite authors, the programme also weaves its way into the cultural fabric of the city, with events taking place in historic cultural venues, contemporary entertainment venues, in beautiful gardens and along waterways. Events range from author in-conversations, book launches and poetry readings, to walking tours, professional development workshops, music events, drawalongs and literary scavenger hunts.
