Science Week at DCU: Creativity, Curiosity and Engagement is a Science Week Festival supported by Science Foundation Ireland and offering a wide range of outreach and engagement events hosted by the Faculty of Science and Health at DCU. The DCU Science Week Festival includes a diverse and highly engaging programme of events, addressing issues of significant interest to people globally, such as sustainability, health, virtual reality, technology and artificial intelligence. Through a range of different interactive and creative events, we will engage with a variety of local and regional communities to consider the question of what it means to be human in the 21st century. We aim to show how Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) are at the forefront of addressing contemporary global challenges. Events include interactive discussions, roundtables, and workshops, as well as demonstration of and hands-on practical engagement with science testing materials and equipment. Further, events include a multimedia competition, as well as Citizen Science and Citizen Jury, two events based on active community contribution and engagement on STEM topics and challenges. Science Week at DCU is creative and multidisciplinary, inclusive and multigenerational. It is addressed to anyone who is curious to learn more about how STEM plays a role in our everyday lives whether they have previously engaged with STEM or not. We welcome everyone to register and attend.
