Established in 1969, the Wexford Wildfowl Reserve covers 200 hectares. The Reserve forms part of the larger Wexford Slobs and Harbour Special Protection Area (SPA) for birds, one of a number of such protected sites found across Europe and known collectively as the Natura 2000 network.

Our Spring and Summer programmes take place either near the Centre or in the Raven Nature Reserve, with hands on examination of the local flora and fauna. Our winter workshops are mostly indoor at the Centre and involve quizzes and bird study.
