Based in the grounds of Victorian Turlough Park House, the museum tells the story of the lives of ordinary people in rural Ireland from 1850 to 1950. Our Discover Primary Science activities focus on 'science in everyday life' through a range of tours, demonstrations and hands-on workshops for primary school children of all ages. Topics include clothing, lighting and food production as well as a range of nature trails and outdoor activities. Children can also learn about the work of museums and museum conservation.
