Glenveagh Nature Centre is open all year round with a wide range of activity days for schools available. These include special days incorporating topics such as Biodiversity and Maths, Sustainable Development, Geography and Science, Creative nature awareness days with an emphasis on art and writing and new for 2012/2013 will be 'Stepping back through the Trees' - A historical adventure looking at the story of how woodlands have changed over time. We can also tailor a visit to meet specific requirements.

We now also offer accredited teacher training in the summer on how to connect all areas of the curriculum with the outdoors. We can also support schools in their biodiversity projects through outreach and advice/support. We also offer field studies days for second and third level students, tailored to a range of subjects. Our Centre and facilities around the National Park are open all year around and are available to teachers to use themselves. Contact us for more information
