Creative Arts and Future Technologies (CRAFT) is an initiative at Mary Immaculate College to catalyse the public's engagement with STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics) through a variety of activities and workshops focusing on building creativity, innovation and STEAM skills for life.

These STEAM workshops are accessible and inclusive opportunities to engage with STEM experiences that are fun, engaging and inspire curiosity, for a wide range of audiences including schools, families, young people and adults.

This CRAFT Maker Space on the MIC campus is the first of its kind in the mid-west region of Ireland. This unique and innovative initiative focuses on STEAM through exploration and play as well as design and make activities.

We offer workshops to primary schools on Thursdays and Fridays throughout the academic year and every day as part of the special themed weeks like Maths Week, Code Week, Space Week, Science Week and Engineers Week.  The topics are linked to the primary school curriculum, and we welcome the opportunity to codesign workshops with teachers to support the concurrent learning in the classroom.
