The Doneraile Park Education Centre provides children with an understanding of the ecology of a parkland demesne.

The interpretation will revolve around ecological habitats and woodland, wetlands and aquatic environments in the park. Through audio visual, panels and activities children will learn about the natural ecology of the River Awbeg, a Special Area of Conservation(SAC) and its modification over 400 years within the demesne of Doneraile Park.

The activities will help develop a child's awareness of their locality and environment, new techniques to complement the exploring mind and a new perspective on human influences upon ecology.
