The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Computer Society 

Focuses on advancing the theory, practice, and application of computer and information-processing technology and promotes an active exchange of information, ideas, and technological innovation among its international membership. 

The European Physical Society (EPS) 

A non-profit association dedicated to promoting physics and physicists in Europe, including an international forum to discuss science and policy issues of interest. 

The Institution of Electrical Engineers (IEE) 

The largest professional engineering society in Europe, promotes electrical, electronic and manufacturing science and engineering. Members range from students to the most distinguished members of the profession. 

The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE)

A non-profit, technical professional association and a leading authority in technical areas ranging from computer engineering, biomedical technology, and telecommunications to electrical power, aerospace, and consumer electronics.

European Molecular Biology Organization (EMBO)

EMBO promotes excellence in molecular life sciences.

The Institute of Physics  

An international learned society and professional body that advances pure and applied physics and promotes physics education.  

The Materials Research Society (MRS) 

A non-profit organisation that brings together scientists, engineers and research managers from industry, government, academia, and research laboratories to share findings in the research and development of new materials of technological importance. 

The Optical Society of America 

Promotes the generation, application and archiving of knowledge in optics and photonics and to disseminate this knowledge worldwide. It brings together optics and photonics scientists, engineers, educators, technicians, and business leaders.  

The International Society for Optical Engineering (SPIE) 

An international organisation that addresses virtually all subfields associated with optics and photonics technologies and their many engineering, scientific, and commercial applications.  

The Royal Society

The independent scientific academy of the UK dedicated to promoting excellence in science. It provides grants to cutting-edge scientists, publishes journals, participates in science communication, and rewards scientific excellence by electing to its Fellowship the most distinguished scientists in the UK and the Commonwealth and by awarding medals and prizes to the finest scientists throughout the world. 

The Trans-European Research and Education Networking Association 

Carries out technical activities and provides a platform for discussion to encourage the development of a high-quality computer networking infrastructure for the European research community.
