Castlecomer Discovery Park is an outdoor activity park set in 80 acres of woodland with a river, two lakes and imaginative indoor spaces. We believe that nature connection through outdoor play, learning and adventure is invaluable for the developing child and this woodland environment is the ideal setting.

Outdoor learning activities are offered to Primary School students of all ages throughout the year. As an accredited SFI Discover Centre, activities focus on investigation skills, the scientific-method, active data collection and problem-solving. Students become Water Scientists or Bug Detectives and explore the water and woodland environments. They complete Nature Trails learning about trees, flowers and wildlife or they can go back in time to discover ancient fossils and the history of coal-mining.
