The following are the principal organisations, along with SFI, which engage in industry interactions with Universities and Institutes of Technology.
IDA Ireland 
IDA Ireland (Industrial Development Agency) is an Irish Government agency with responsibility for securing new investment from overseas in manufacturing and internationally traded services sectors. It also encourages existing investors to expand and develop their businesses.
IDA Ireland works closely with the Higher Education Authority (HEA) and Science Foundation Ireland (SFI) in helping Universities and Colleges to find collaborative industry partners. Together the agencies have developed new incentives and initiatives to encourage collaborative research projects, which will help Ireland to develop a strong community of world-class researchers in academia and industry.

Enterprise Ireland 
Enterprise Ireland helps Irish companies to grow and sustain positions in global markets producing innovative, high value products and services. It is the Irish state development agency focused on accelerating the development of world-class Irish companies.
Enterprise Ireland has intensified its drive to support the development of innovative products and services that offer unique extra value benefits to customers in world markets. It focuses its support on three levels: In-company R&D, Applications-Driven Research and International Science and Technology.
