‘Get Connected with Pervasive Nation’ - CONNECT to showcase Internet of Things network in Croke Park
CONNECT - the Science Foundation Ireland Research Centre for Future Networks and Communications – is inviting SMEs, start-ups, industry representatives, policy makers, academics, and researchers to Croke Park on Wednesday, 13 September, for an information session on how Pervasive Nation, the Centre’s new Internet of Things network, can assist with the development of pre-commercial Internet of Things ideas.
Pervasive Nation is funded by SFI and is a resource for academic research and pre-commercial innovation by industry.
“This is a good opportunity for businesses and researchers to demystify IoT,” according to Prof. Linda Doyle, Director of CONNECT at Trinity College Dublin. “This half-day event will include case studies to illustrate how industry and academics are already making use of our Low Power Wide Area Network (LPWAN). We will also include a walk-through demonstration of how sensors can easily be added to the network.
“It will be a great opportunity to learn how our Pervasive Nation network can help with Internet of Things research and innovation in Ireland.”
