SFI Conferences and Workshops

Science Foundation Ireland’s Conference and Workshop Programme supports conferences and workshops which enable Irish research bodies to contribute to international scientific debates, and which encourage industry-informed research and foster academic-industrial collaborations to build competitive advantage for Ireland. SFI will support conferences and workshops that encourage dissemination and collaboration on topics of timely importance in all areas covered by SFI’s legal remit.

There are five different award types within the Conference and Workshop Programme, namely Conferences, Exceptional Conferences, Workshops, Academic-Industrial Workshops, and Conference Bids. Different award types are eligible for different maximum funding amounts.

SFI is currently not accepting applications under the Conference & Workshops programme heading for Events Raising Public Awareness of Science, Technology, Mathematics and Engineering. Should you wish to submit a proposal relevant to this area please contact Alva O’Cleirigh (alva.ocleirigh@sfi.ie) to discuss your proposal in the first instance
