Japan/ Ireland “Reverse - Short Term Travel Fellowship”
SFI have recently launched the Short Term Travel Fellowship (STTF) programme to enable Irish based researchers to collaborate with international academic and industrial laboratories. In response to the devastating earthquake and tsunami disaster in Japan, SFI would like to launch a “reverse-STTF” programme to enable Japanese collaborators, whose research has been interrupted by the tsunami, to continue their research in Irish laboratories. This is only applicable in cases where the Japanese collaboration forms a critical part of the SFI funded research. Applications are invited from currently active SFI funded researchers to apply for a travel fund to host their Japanese collaborator for a period of up to three months in Ireland.
