Dr Stephen Flinter is a Scientific Programme Manager in SFI‘s Information Communications & Emergent Technologies (IC&ET) division.
Dr Flinter is focused on all areas related to computer software and has over ten years experience in the software industry.
Dr Flinter holds a BSc in Computer Applications from Dublin City University and a PhD in Computer Science (Artificial Intelligence) from Trinity College Dublin.
Prior to joining SFI, Dr Flinter worked in senior positions with a range of Irish and international software companies, including Macalla Software, Connect Global Solutions and ICL/Fujitsu.
Dr Flinter has been involved in the full life-cycle of software development, from programming, design and architecture, to development management. He has worked across a variety of industrial sectors, including telecoms, software localisation, banking, insurance, manufacturing and government.
